Online Safety

http://www.pcsndreams.com/Pages/News_Archives.htm

This article was about a 19 year old man sexting girls. My initial reaction was that it was verry gross and pathetic that he would do that. The girls could have prevented tyhis by not talking to him and telling somewone about it ..

Three difference between googles old policy and the new policy comming in march are, that they will be able to look at your emails, they will monitor user habits, and that they will monitor user preferences.

The new policy, which goes into effect March 1, allows Google to collect information about individuals when they sign into their Google accounts even on android phones. It also stores cookies on users' computers to draw on information about which Web sites they visited and what locations they searched for on Google Maps.

I agree with the news article when they saisd that google shouldent be able to access your information. That should be private to you and nowone else. I think that they have no right to look into your emails and look at all of your stuff.

Copyright Case

Williams V. Crichton
U.S. District Court For The Southern District Of New York
September 30, 1993
Geoffery T. Williams borught a suit againstn Michael Crichton, Alfred A. Knopf, Inc., Random House, Inc., Universal Studios, Inc., MCA, Inc., Amblin Entertainment, Inc, Stephen Spielberg and David Koepp. alleging copyright infringement under the
Copyright Act of 1976,Forusing the book Jurassic Park to make the movie Jurassic Park
Plaintiff, although having sifted the works to produce a list of similarities, often not
essential to the stories, has at the same time ignored major characters and events in Jurassic Park that do not comport with his theory of the case. Consequently, even assuming the accuracy of the
various similarities in details as represented by Plaintiff, a finding of substantial similarity cannot
be supported. For the foregoing reasons, Defendants motion for summary judgment is granted, and defendents mat=y have judgement dissmising the complaint.http://www.copyrightguru.com/belmont_classes/IntellectualProperties/Cases/Williams%20v%20Crichton.pdf

Internet Safety

I think internet safety is is a good thing because it protects young chirldren from creeps.
Dont give out your number, dont give out your address and dont send pictures of any kind.
To be honest i didnt learn anything new.
I can improve on alot of things, one would be not to give out my address or phone number to anything or anyone unless my parents give the okay to. Be aware of intruders online.

Feed Reader Report

Between Google Reader and FeedDemon i liked google reader alot better for many reasons. One reason i like Google Reader more is because it is very user friendly. The second reason why i like Google Reader better than FeedDemon is because its very easy, all you have to do is click and it will appear on your page. The last reason why i kike Google Reader better is because you dont have to download anything to your computer, its just right on the internet.
